Deputy FMs to resume N-talks tomorrow

TEHRAN, Jun. 09 (MNA) – Deputy foreign ministers Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Majid takht-Ravanchi will return to Vienna tomorrow to resume the negotiations with the 5+1 representatives over Tehran’s nuclear program.

Following up on the sixth round of talks between representatives of Iran and the six countries that wrapped up in Vienna on Saturday, Deputy foreign ministers Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Majid takht-Ravanchi will return to the Austrian capital on Wednesday to resume deputy-level talks aimed at bridging differences over the final text of the comprehensive deal.

Director General for Political Affairs at the Iranian Foreign Ministry and nuclear negotiator Hamid Baeidinejad accompanied by other Iranian negotiators have continued the talks at the expert level in the Austrian city.

The seventh round of nuclear talks will be held on Wednesday at deputy level with European Union deputy foreign policy chief Helga Schmid in attendance.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi told reporters in Vienna on Saturday just before departing the city that the process of drafting was a very slow and strenuous task, which has much legal, technical and political sensitivity.

“We came to the negotiations here in Vienna with distrust, and that is a fact,” he said.

Majid Takht-e Ravanchi also said on Sunday that “If the opposite negotiating side does not come up with excessive demands, the negotiations will lead to a result by the announced deadline.”

Iran and the 5+1 countries have been working on the text of the potential deal ever Tehran’s nuclear program since they reached the mutual understanding on its parameters on April 2.
